Motto

“In Faith We Learn”

Our crest was designed by a past Year 6 student in response to a school competition.

The cross is a symbol of our Mercy heritage and charism, which is embedded throughout all our interactions with others. The book represents the Bible, the basis of our Catholic faith. The quill represents the many learning experiences undertaken at St James.

The motto “In Faith We Learn” was derived from these three symbols to show that our faith is the basis for all our learning here at St James’.
